Kraft processed cheddar (block of)

I will admit that I like junk food on occasion - I also enjoy good quality food (from the butcher).

However, I have been exposed to varying food qualities, one of which is Kraft Processed Cheddar which I had while I was in Mauritius a few years back. It's a guilty pleasure and one that I will partake of whenever I can get ahold of it.

However, I've not had any for a while and I now have a real hankering for it:

I still mourn the fact that ASDA no longer stocks that American imported 'Squeeze Cheese'.... Pure processed bright yellow trash in a squirty bottle!

Isn't that the same or similar stuff as Velveeta? Maybe one of the sites supplying American foodstuffs or one of the fancier department stores will have that stocked.

You can make this, comes out quite well too.

It uses cheap processed cheese, either evaporated or condensed milk, I forget which, and mustard.

Have a search, if you struggle give me a shout and I shall seek it out. I think the original is called Cheez Whiz.
Makes cracking Philly cheese sandwich.

You can get it in certain Asda stores - it sits on the West Indian fixture in their world foods section, so it is a pretty small number of stores but it is possible to find it out there. Forgot to look where you lived - will do so in a sec and see if I can find the nearest store to you. And no, I don't work for Asda!

ETA - Hmmm, North Lincolnshire - might struggle to find it round your neck of the woods! Try some of the bigger stores in and around Nottingham would be my suggestion.....
