Managed to pick up some (free!) duck eggs from our dog sitter today. Any strong recommendations?

Got one in the fridge. Only had one before, just fried it and had it on toast. lick

Duck eggs are the best. My family used to keep khaki campbells, muskovies and aylesburys, as well as a few mallards and odd crosses. Huge yolks and firm albumen. yum
My mother's yorkshire puds were excellent - she always claimed it was the eggs that made them.

Slightly underdone scrambled on hot toast, lots of butter, salt and pepper. Yum!

I love them as well, but it turns out that its also my kryptonite, they have the power to reduce me to being curled up on the sofa with stomach ache.

Try a goose egg. Nom nom. Takes half a day to cook it though.

Funnily enough I was offered a double chicken egg too - I declined as I'm a townie at heart!

Love duck eggs. Bizzarely, my local fishmonger sells the best local ones!

Quite often get a double yolker too.
My girlfriend thought I was winding her up when I mentioned these.. first one I poached from the carton was a double!

I miss my ducks, they were characters.

Used to love duck egg omlettes & mother used them for baking as the yolks gave cakes a fantastic colour.
