Restaurant in Edinburgh reccomendations

Hi,

Looking for a bit of advice, need the girlfriend to a restaurant in Edinburgh on thursday and as I havn't had a decent meal cooked by someone else in ages, was hoping someone could reccomend somewhere. Preferably not too "dressy" and a budget of £100-£150 for both of us,
Not too fussed what they serve aslong as it's good,

The Witchery. I was there on Saturday and it was pretty damn good.

Cafe Marlayne is excellent.

Wedgewood is nice

If the weather holds out you could do The Tower for the views but the food isn't as good as the others

Browns on George Street is really nice and not quite as formal as Wedgewood.

I went to The Kitchin for my birthday a few years ago, was very good. It'll probably be a little over your budget if you plan on a bottle of wine with the meal, but if you only have soft / small drinks then it might come under £150. I liked it anyway!

What about Vittorias on Leith St ...... not as fancy as some of the others mentioned but excellent food.

Martin Wishart in Leith is always amazing...and pricey. Tower is poor food but cool scene if you are into that. Kitchin is on my list for this summer.
