Made a nice tuna/mayo mix, with cracked black pepper and a hint of mustard, and stupidly threw in some frozen corn without boiling it first.

Is frozen corn cooked enough? I have a feeling it needs to be boiled for 5 minutes for a good reason...

Second (diversionary) question - I'm sure someone can beat that, in terms of absent mindedly ruining a meal!

Can't you just fish out the hard, yellow bits?

Yeah the frozen stuff is just whizzed off the cobs and straight into the freezer aren't they?

I figured the corn would mix in nicely, thaw within 15 minutes and slightly chill the Tuna.

I dont normally dine on frozen food (whist frozen) often biggrin but nibbling away at a few bits of corn... it doesnt taste right.

Just a drop or two of Frenches mild American mustard adds nicely to the flavour.

And no, I cant fish out the bloody corn hehe too many to contend with!

I always use corn directly from the freezer, pop it in a siave run cool water over it until defrosted and good to go!

Doesn't need cooking!
