Gastro pub or relaxed restaurant in sheffield

Hi

I'll be staying in Sheffield on business on Wednesday evening. Staying at the rutland near the uni. Does anyone have any recommendations for dinner? Needs to be around a tenner for a main, hense gastro pub request. Also good pubs for a nice ale or two after would be v helpful.

Not a Gastro pub but very nice food, good prices and a very relaxed atmosphere. In fact I think Wednesday May be pie night! Won lots of awards too!

To be fair though you could probably eat in any restaurant in Sheffield for a tenner.

Hope this isn't too late but try the broadfield on abbey dale road. Home made pies sausages, whole ham hocks and a huge range of real ales.

Having eaten at both Silversmiths and here this place wins hands down. Doesn't have a functioning website though so you'll have to trust me!

The Milestone down the hill from the Uni is cracking. Maybe a little over budget, but great food.

A little different, but I do like Baan Thai down the hill the other way by Waitrose.
