I was given one of these last night. It made my fingers sore, I didn't eat it. Has anyone here dared to eat this monstrosity?

1.2 million Scoville units apparently. I'm really glad I didn't eat it.

You melt a hole in the porcelain pony the following morning and get water every where

Surprisingly, Youtube is your friend. A few people have eaten one, and filmed themselves doing it.

Does not look pleasant.

I wouldn't, it actually gave me breathing difficulties, from a foot away.

No, the Moruga is around 1m Scovilles... the 16m is for pure capsaicin, which is the ingredient in all peppers/chillies that makes them hot, but extracted and purified. In other words, a chemical, not a food!

You can usually buy a similar extract here. A dot on the end of a cocktail stick is enough to get people dancing in agony biggrin

Mr Pickles

His Mad sauce is probably the hottest thing I've ever eaten

I tried the Mr Pickles extract at a food fair and you definitely only need a toothpick's worth!

His Mad sauce is good but it wasn't as hot as '10 Minute Burn':
