Didn't know he did tinned curries.
I know he does sauces in jars.
I've only tried his Thai sauces and frankly IMO they're as good as you get in any Thai Restaurant.
I've seen the item in the news about two kids FROM THE SAME FAMILY of botulism poisoning.
Not sure why the sauce is immediately blamed, more likely going to be badly kept poultry etc.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of the man - in fact I thing the bloke a total t
t, but his sauces are pretty good.

It's just strange that only one jar seems to be affected. With the amount they sell, you'd expect people to be dropping all over the place!
It's good of them to take this precaution just in case though, but something it's strange something so dangerous popped up in just one jar so far....maybe it was the chicken...?

I never buy jar sauces - of any kind. I find them too acidic.
I could never work out why citric acid is routinely added to tinned tomatoes when they're surely tart enough as is, moreover nicer with a pinch of sugar?
All is revealed.
Reading up on the procedures required to prevent botulin growth in canned / bottled products, apparently lower temperatures are needed to preserve acidic products - hence food acids are added. To save money in processing.
I prefer to make my own sauces from fresh ingredients anyway. Now even more so.
