i was wondering the other day why there doesnt seem to be any BBQ places over here
but yet again its in london
for once wont someone think of the northerners !!!
I am confused by the BBQ meaning, nowadays. These people appear to smoke and slow roast their food, but to me BBQ means cooking meat (and corn on the cob of course) quite quickly over some burning charcoal,

Did a drive into town this evening to scout out the place. I could smell BBQ but it took me a while to find the restaurant. The crowd I saw outside, I thought was at the pub next door - boy was I wrong. The restaurant looked full, and a queue outside was long. No signs on the outside, only etching of the name on the door (which I could not see for all the people. I could not see a menu either.

Went here on Saturday and we were fortunately 3rd and 4th in the queue. We got there just before 12 and the other couple in front of us were just as shocked there weren't more people. As we were taken downstairs into the dining area, boom! The masses arrived and looked like there could have been waits of 30 - 60 minutes for a table. It's very cosy in there so don't be shy with the table next to you, or watch what your topic of conversation ends up as.
The menu was small and probably changes daily, or every couple of days. We had the brisket and their "special house sausage", both with burnt end mash (amongst other sides). We were absolutely starving and had extra hot chicken wings on the side, but I'd say if you've had breakfast then their portions should be enough. Mains were about £9 each and I think they offered sandwichy-bap options on some things like pulled pork.
Very happy with the food and service and heartily recommend it to anybody that's after BBQ cooked low and slow.
