PH whisky help
Discussion
Trying to find a bottle of my dads old favorite whisky. The name was C J crocker and it was a vanilla bourbon i think. Now some research shows the company is no longer in existence. I have tried searching on interent but cant even find any old stock bottles anywhere. Have you guys got any suggestions as to how or even if it would be possible to source a bottle of this.
Thanks in advance for any sensible answers

There seem to be very few references on the net to this brand, here is one I found:

Here are some interesting pages on Bourbons in general

The legal definition of a Bourbon Whiskey is one that is made in the USA. CJ Crocker appears to have been made in Canada, so when the rules were imposed it may have lost its status (like German "Champagne") and the brand discontinued.
Why not make your own vanilla infused bourbon by buying a bottle of cheap supermarket/discount store bourbon and putting a whole vanilla pod into it. Reseal, put in a warm place and sample at Christmas. When the bottle is empty you can reuse the pod in the next one.
