Hi folks,

Off to Frankfurt on a college do in March, was wondering what nice beers were available for the inevitable pub crawl?

Not a fan of lager like Fosters, Carlsberg or Stella, in fact anything like that.

Was wondering what nice beers they have in Germany?

Cheers.

German beers?

Just pitch up, and pick one. You won't be disappointed.

For instant kick, try EKU28 Kulminator.

You can't go wrong with German beer. Konig Pilsner is a particular favourite of mine.

Really love to get over to Munich festival next year....don't know nearly enough about good German beers.

There's a brewery in Glasgow not far from me which produces good products based on the German 1516 purity law..some nice beers but no doubt nothing on some of the stuff over there

Go with whatever's local. Same as over here the mass produced stuff is less good, the local brew has never, ever let me down when I've been there.

Try some of the dark lagers that are on sale in a well known super market, they all appear to be German drink

For me it has to be Rothaus, although it's only usually seen in the South West (Black Forrest). But I did find it on Borugh High St last week!
