Can someone recommend a good Gastro Pub in Central London - W1 area?

I'm flying to the UK tomorrow to see my two children and would like to take them somewhere nice for a bite to eat in the evening. My son is 14yrs old, my daughter 11yrs old. Coming from Dubai I fancy a nice cosy pub, roaring fire and some good British grub.

So traditional, it could be preserved in aspic. Have the pie.
