I need a decent Curry house in this area. I recently went to Starlight in Christchurch and found the Chicken had a funny texture as if it had been boiled, so won't be going there again.

Need to book for the 23rd Dec

Cheers

Skip Christchurch and go straight to Eye Of The Tiger in Bournemouth. No questions, best Indian in the south coast collective. I've tried loads of Indian restaurants and this is the best. Excellent atmosphere too.

Another vote for 'Eye of The Tiger'

We always used to travel from Christchurch to Bournemouth to go there as it was way ahead of the local competition.

The 'Eye of The Tiger Special' is a lovely dish. Sometimes full of students, but they'll all be back home for Christmas by then.

Yet to find a really good Indian in XChurch. Been disappointed with Masala Bay, Mela and Starlight.

Taj Mahal in Westbourne or Eastern Eye in Boscombe. Neither are in particuarly convenient locations for parking, and Eastern Eye is in a rough area, but the food is superb at both restaurants.

Change of plan. Taj is top of the list

I love the Taj for the ' traditional curryhouse' experience - for something a bit different to the usual collection of dishes head a little further into Westbourne for Indi's: http://www.indis.uk.com/

Hit the Specials or the Sally if you do plump for the Taj.

Sakib Spice in Tuckton - always had excellent curries from them and they've just expanded to next door with quite a restrained restaurant area...doesn't seat many but the food will be class.
