Lidl Danish ketchup good as Heinz!?
Discussion
I've always been skeptical about Lidl, thinking it's a downmarket shop, an opinion reinforced when I've looked in the stores and seen the very basic layout they have in there, and brand names we've never heard of on the shelves.
That slightly snobbish attitude has kept me out the shops, (although I have used them for cheap booze, and one of the few places I can get Wychwood ales down my way!) but as my dad put it recently: "Lidl's a German company, and the Germans don't like to eat crap."
He was explaining that he'd recently tasted the ketchup and mayo from there, and now only buys theirs as it's much better...
