I love me pickled onions.

Anyone got a recipe that uses them (apart from the obvious ones?)

Cheers. BB.

I'd try dropping a few in a hot curry to make a 'vindaloo'.

I like them with smoked mackerel or some nice fried cods row!

Make a 1970's hedgehog... cheese, pineapple and a pickled onion on a cocktail stick. Retro classic!

Some nice brisket, a red wine sauce, some sliced pickled onions chucked in, and lashings of pepper. One of my favourite comfort foods smile

2 slices of thick white bread.

Apply butter to each piece.

Cover liberally with Pickled Onion Monster Munch.

Press together firmly until you hear some cracking noises.

Devour with a cup of tea.

Nom Nom Nom

P.S dont forget to check the bottom of the bag as if you are really lucky you will find a little nugget of pure pickled onion flavoured goodness. Truley the white truffles of the crisp world.

I'd add them in place of the small shallots in a boeuf bourguignon.

Val Warner has a Pickled Onion, Steak and Ale pie that sounds lovely.

Have you tried Barry Norman's pickled onions - YUM !

But either way, freshly baked white bread, proper cheddar, sliced pickled onions, great sandwich!
