Hi food fans.

I made a nice chili con carne on Thursday, but as usual had loads left over. I've kept the leftover in the fridge since then. Will it be OK to eat tonight if I make sure it's really properly heated though?

Thanks in advance for keeping me alive.

Matt

Plus it will probably taste even better.

Does it look or smell mouldy/rotten? If not then it will be absolutely fine to eat, and (as said above) possibly even tastier than it was fresh.

Three days is max time I would keep anything like that in the fridge just make sure it is thoroughly warmed through and like the others say it will taste better than it did when first done.

Just had it. Was certainly better than on Thursday. Yum.

I'll let you know if I die.

Matt.

Problem I have is I always forget about stuff I freeze. I've got loads of tuppaware boxes in my freezer and I'm not sure what's in any of them. Could be chili, bol, curry, gravy, stew. Probably should start eating them actually.

/Mental note to self, eat stuff in the freezer.

I took over the kitchen when my Mum got sick and over the next few years got rid of all the "surprise" meals in the freezer and replaced with known commodities! I use the chinese food containers and a CD pen then throw them when I'm done!

I also can't cook much so it's only going to be a small number of possible meals!
