Last year, I ordered some meat and poultry from this place in Northern Ireland:

The Lissara Farm ducks are the best I have ever cooked and eaten. We had one for Christmas lunch last year and it was really outstanding. I also ordered some Dexter beef through them and that too was fantastic quality.

I want to order more this year but the problem is, it is very difficult and expensive to ship overnight or on refrigerated transport from NI to the mainland.

StuR on here has been really helpful in trying to find a way to do it but whatever method we look at, it doesn't cost in very well for a small order.

So, would anyone here like to come in with me on a 'group buy' deal to spread the cost of the shipping over several orders? I'm aiming to get everything here at the end of November or early December, so there's plenty of time to sort it.

Please reply here or PM me if you're interested.

I expect the lack of response is because unless someone lives local to you, then onward postage costs would remove any savings benefit.

(and your profile just says you are in "United Kingdom", so people who may be local to you won't know it, for all they know you are 500 miles away on the other side of the country...!)

Ah, good point, although guaranteed next day delivery within the UK (apart from NI!) is pretty cheap these days - well under a tenner for packages up to 25Kg, so I wasn't thinking that would be a problem.

I'm in Berkshire, if that helps!
