I have been browsing through the 'Photos of your dinner' & 'PHBBQP&RT'and I couldn't help but admire some of the dishes on display.

I have always been keen to learn, but was always kicked out of the kitchen as a youngster as our kitchen was quite small and my Mum prefered to be left to it!

If any of you swear by any cooking/bbq'ing recipe books, please share them here for myself and anyone else who may be interested.

Cheers,

Tom

"Plenty", by Yotam Wossisface.

It's a vegetarian cookbook, but don't let that discourage you.

Jamie Oliver and Gary spikeyhair's books are also good (and practical).

The only book I would ever truly recomend is this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooks-Book-Step---step-tec...

It has many step by step guides some wonderful dishes and great timing guides. I got a copy in discount book seller a few years ago for about a fiver. Its the one book that never gets put back on the shelf.

Leith's is a great book to cover off all the basic recipes.

After that it's down to what you like - I like the River Cottage books, and I just received Heston At Home last night which on first glance looks pretty good.
