Who went prawning ths year (you know, to catch prawns)?

Meant to go this year but never got round to it. I believe the best months are all months without an R, so May to August, so the season is well and truly over. Rollocks!

Does anyone have any top tips, other than not to miss the season?

We cook ours prawns in sea water, with seaweed for max flavour

Try a calendar.
That have a list of all the months, and you turn over each page to follow them.
You can also highlight the letter R with a marker pen.

use very small hooks, as they don't have big mouths.

I'm not sure that Prawns or Shrimps are seasonal IIRC you can harvest them all year round.
