Cornwall restaurant near Polzeath
Discussion
My wife, baby daughter and I are planning a short break (2 nights) at the St Moritz Hotel in Cornwall at the end of November. Our intention is to eat there one night - anyone ever eaten there? - and then go out one night as a couple (babysitter for daughter). Can anyone recommend a decent restaurant not too far from the hotel as we will be taking a taxi? I wanted to go to Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant but have seen quite a lot of negative reviews suggesting too cramped, too expensive and not even that great!
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

I wasn't overley impressed with Rick steins restaurant, i thought the food in the bistro was better. His chippy is really good tho, but not cheap! The monkfish is good!
Margot's bistro on duke street in padstow is supposed to be excellent, tiny little place and does get busy! Never managed to get a booking yet when i've been to padstow.
