Looking for a pasta machine for the wife and looking online it appears the ones at 100 pounds look identical to the current one which was 20 pounds and its crap.

So budget is about 100 to 150 and one that isn't a wibbily wobbly pile of pooh

How is the current one crap?

I have an Imperia, which does all I ask of it, though it's a pain to clean. I can't see how that's avoidable though.

Imperia would be a good bet.

I use it with the PastaFacile motor add on, which frees up both hands. The hand lever on the machine clicks off and you put the motor spindle in and lock in place.

You should get both the machine and the motor for under £140

I make shed loads of pasta and ravioli and our machine has lasted 10 years plus without probs.

We have an imperia. It's pretty solid.

Delonghi one here ... really good bit of kit. I've had it for a few years and it's used regularly. At the time it was probably about 250 so might still be out of your budget
