100% Heat

While shopping with the Mrs. in TK Maxx, an idle look at some of the stands near the checkout yielded some interesting results. There were a couple of bottles there, one called '100% heat' and another '85% heat'. The blurb on the back of the bottle simply said 'The higher the percentage, the hotter the heat and weaker the taste'...I also noticed a bottle of Dave's Insanity Chilli Sauce.

So, has anyone here tried any of this stuff? TK Maxx arent known for their food stuff, so I didnt buy it...but I am curious and may go back if someone here can give it a good recommendation.

PS- They also had some marinades for steaks and BBQs...again, has anyone here tried any?

I'm guessing the '100% heat' stuff is a capsaicin extract product... I have some called 'Pure Cap".

Capsaicin is the chemical in chilli peppers that gives you the burn. Pure Cap is just capsaicin suspended in oil, and is not to be trifled with! It comes with a pipette dropper (and a skull and crossbones on the label!) - a few drops of the stuff in a big pan of chilli does the business.
