Just back from Portugal where we had stone slate cooked steak which was both tasty and interesting.

We fancy replicating this in the UK hopefully near to home but I've not found anywhere closer to Liverpool than Staffs.

Can anyone recommend a stone cooked restaurant on
The north, we could make it a night away if special enough

Where abouts did you go?

Had the same in Cascais back in July, quite liked it.

Stayed just off the Marina in Vilamoura, The Lake resort.

Needed a week away from my website hell to get my head together and it did the job nicely.

Some good quality food on sale BUT pricey - London + 10% ish and apart from the setting the actual places were quite ordinary.

Best steak was at Prime, best food / value was the Chinese.
