Been a while since i bought some, remember Tesco's finest margerita been tasty. Are the branded ones any cop? Goodfellas, chicago town, pizza express etc etc?

Doesnt seem to be much middle ground, the pizzas either pretty good or rubbish so dont wanna get the wrong ones in! Always stuck with simple margeritas etc in the past to avoid disapointment, any good meaty/spicy/veggy ones about now?

Asda do some nice meaty ones. Not frozen, they will be in the fridges and I think are branded "chosen by you"

The stuffed crust ones are nice too (not that I go to Asda of course I'm a Pher so only shop at waitrose and pay in cash).

I'm not a big pizza fan, but this one was delicious:

Same here, Jeeves actually told me about them, he feeds himself and his poor family on them for about £3 a go apparently.

They are all pretty ruddy (but then again some people think Dominoes is excellent) but when I'm desperate I get a PE margherita or 2, take it home and then load it up with some fresh vegies and chorizo/salami/ham one of which I usually have in the fridge.

Asda seem to have this one wrapped up with their made to order service IMO - while I've sampled the delights of Waitrose and other more acceptable offerings the only place that's generous and willing to offer me what I want is Asda. Having said this what I want vs what the majority of people crave may be very different.

I noticed Morrisons are asking £5 for a Pizza Express margarita pizza at the moment, my local takeaway pizza place would cook and deliver two of a higher standard for around that.

They all seem to taste like cardboard, are there any shops that sell the pizza dough like in the US for making decent take away style pizzas?

Welcome to the north of England smile

It's likely to be closer to £6 though to be honest.

Your username suggests you are far more concerned with quantity than quality to be fair.

Agree.

Have tried all of the supermarket's 'best offerings' (Tesco, Sainos, M&S and Waitrose) and they are all lacking in one way or another.

Under duress, I'll occasionally grab a Pizza Express supermarket variant.

M & S used to make lovely ones but they changed their recipe as always is the case I guess in the pursuit of profit.

Then you are not a PHer. Because one usually sends one's butler to Waitrose or M&S to purchase ingredients, so that one's chef can prepare a pizza using traditional Italian methods...

And "cash"? One never carries cash.
