What's going on with the Great Britsh Summer? Ok, so the last 3 summers have been really stty but this year has been awful....and I live in the South East. We've had TWO Bar-Bs this Summer which I consider to be on the low side!

Oh, to live in a climate where you know tomorrow is going to be a nice day, you can actually plan to do things outdoors, invites can be sent out 24 hours in advance, cars can be polished in anticipation of a roof down drive and bar-b-ques can be lit at least half an hour before you need to cook on them!

I may have managed six, with one proper one involving a bunch of people. It's been pretty poor.

I tend to BBQ in any weather. Had to dig a path out to it in the snow once in the winter.

ETA Proof!

I'm one of these new fangled gas lovers, and after a hard day at work its a POP...nay, a delight, to spark up the BBQ and throw on some dead cow. Saves a lot of washing up too.

Not been about enough to have any proper bbq's this year but have had a fair few with the g/f.

So long as it isn't raining an i get home from work before dark tonight i think i'll throw the rib-eye on there and save the arse of cleaning done the grill and oven or the frying pan and hob.

We have had hardly any compared to last year.

Its depressing.

The few that we have had have been spoilt by wet and cold weather too.

Last year we were eating outside every lunchtime and dinner and the bbq would be on a few times a week at least.

Me too, 4 or 5 at most. Made up for by eating out more though.

Only one this year, compared to about 10 last year. Just as well that I managed to perfect my technique for cooking ribs in the oven! biggrin

However I am taking the BBQ to Britcar24 for cooking and heating duties.

First BBQ of the season was last weekend when I smoked a ham. Looking forward to a few this spring and the open season in December. I expect to have BBQ Xmas dinner this year.

Thinking about it the previous BBQ had been in the winter (June time IIRC).

Had one, but it was at work as a nonsense team-building exercise.

Hope you're joking about the heating part.

Definitely not inside, especially after that story about a guy who put his smoldering BBQ in his van he was sleeping in, to warm it up on a cold night.
