Disappointed to find out one of the local Tesco's no longer sells Aunt Bessies frozen dumplings any longer. No one else may like them, but they were instant, convenient, and as good as frozen dumplings could be.

Not happy frown

Why not make up a large batch of homemade suet dumplings one day off and freeze them until you need them.

Why do you need instant dumplings?

Surely, if you're making a meal which goes with dumplings, it's just as easy to buy a packet mix and cook them fresh in the pot?

They are worth perfecting - very little beats a good home-made dumpling, mind you - very little is worse than a bad one...

I did notice in the LIDL leaflet that they are selling the Aunt Bessie ones in there on offer.

Thanks. GF pops in there every few months. PHers seem to loath the place but on the few occasions I've been in, it was the frozen junk food love nest of my bargain basement dreams hehe
