Evening all...

Some friends and I will potentially be in need of a proper greasy spoon in central London next Sunday at around 7am, preferably in the general area of Embankment and north of the river if possible. Nothing pretentious, just a proper-sized and reasonably priced full English and mug of tea. Bonus points for somewhere that we'll be able to have six or seven bikes parked up - did see the Embankment Cafe but not sure if it's open that early on a Sunday.

Cheers!

Are there any Wetherspoons round there? Despite serving rubbish food their breakfasts are none too bad.

would it not be worth the extra ride to the ace cafe?

Cheers for the suggestions so far, any more?

Cafe Bruno on Wardour Street (Shaftsbury Avenue end) is a proper old-school Soho Italian greasy spoon. Not sure if it's open on a Sunday though?

Plenty of space down the side to park bikes. If it's not open, there are loads of other cafes in the same area - you're bound to find one open.

Another idea would be to find a Sunday market and you can bet the cafes in that area will be open.

Fair bit of pay and display parallel to Grays Inn. 10-15 min drive from embankment following Blackfriars roundabout thing, Right onto Farringdon Road, Left onto Holborn Viaduct and straight on at the chap on the horse, Right onto Grays inn. I like it anyway and, crucially, it's a bargain without being totally crap.

Dozen, it might be a long wait till Tuesday morning when the Walpole re-opens!

I'd agree that Cafe Bruno on Wardour St is a decent little cafe, though not sure on their weekend opening. I'd also agree that Spoons breakfast offerings are pretty good and well priced too.
