Frozen, not home made. I prefer to make spicy potato wedges.

The wife and I occasionally have a "kids meal", or something cheap and quick if we are busy, so I present to you:

2 McCain hash browns, 2 Aldi cheese filled hash browns, Aldi baked beans and Sainsbury's (reduced in price) chicken goujons all brought together with (not pictured) Aldi Skeeters smokey chipotle BBQ sauce....... lovely!

Surely they should be eaten with tinned potatoes and marrow fat peas for the whole 70s experience hehe I’m tempted to try but don’t want to be disappointed like when I tried brains faggots last year for the first time in probably 30 years

I suspect a ringer, I've suffered through a few of those and they never looked remotely as attractive as that; he's made a pie crust and sat it on some home made stew. hehe

If Fray Bentos sold just the puff pastry it would be amazing. You could decent pie fillings. The pastry is the best part of the pie.

Clicked on this expecting to see simple home cooked food. Instead found the photos for the Guardian’s next “ultra processed food will bankrupt the NHS” or “30% of Brits have scurvy” story hehe

That's probably my fault, I expect the thread was intended to be what you expected, but I dragged it quite quickly down to the sort of junk I eat on a daily basis. I've only stopped posting because I just have basically the same thing on each day of the week so there's no need to keep repeating myself.

Dicky, this is what you should have with a Fray Bentos pie, tinned potatoes and marrowfats.

No, looks perfect as it is, no taste altering juices required. Personally I'd swap the peas out for scrambled eggs.

Potentially slightly overdone, but still juicy and drizzled with some Gochujang sauce - happy days!

A smear of butter over the veg would be acceptable; working at sea peas and similarly quasi-spherical veg such as new potatoes can be something of a dinnertime hazard in bad weather unless stuck to the plate with gravy etc.
