Yep, good ole Maris Pipers chopped, seasoned and put in the ActiFry for 20-25 mins.

Inspiration did indeed come from meals I was cooked as a wee lad, I do the sausages better though smile

They're done for about 35-40 mins at Gas Mark 6, turning occasionally. The cook more evenly than in the frying pan, and don't dry out like in an electric oven or air fryer.

Follow my channel for more unpretentious food tips! hehe

I’m going to assume, as it’s you, the other 5 from the pack are under the mash(?)

Made burgers last night, and did something which may disqualify me from this thread, but made my own slaw to go with it. Sounds pretentious until I tell you the sauce for the slaw was my very own Bernie's Inn Thousand Island - so salad cream, ketchup and cayenne pepper.

Wife demanded her own slaw, with the ever so predictable mayonnaise in it.

No sense of adventure some people.

Good job, it wasn't a pasty!

Mrs. DG “What’s for dinner tonight.”
“What would you like?”
“Minced pork and mashed potato’s, do you need anything from the shops”
“Salted butter and bread, what time will you be home?”
“7 pm”

Food prepared, all ready to go, Mrs DG arrives at 8:30 pm, no butter or bread.

“Why didn’t you remind me?”

FFS, my fault again!

Given pretentious means pretending that a thing is something that it isn't, I reckon the chief form of pretentious food is the prefab orange stuff sold by supermarkets. Coleslaw, being cabbage and carrot, I'd say ranks mighty low on the "pretending to be food" scale and pretty high on the "real food scale".

I'm off to Berlin on Wednesday so, with a bag of putrifying slightly past its best spinach, some rocket and spring onions left in the fridge, I decided to make some soup. It was tasty but green. Very green.

I used vegetable stock I'm afraid. Perhaps I'm turning into a menopausal woman!

And meat. Some kind of chateaubriand. Perhaps some peppercorn sauce. And chunky chips. Finally, it needs to go in the bin.
