Salad, non?

I fear you've crossed the unknown but always-understood line betwixt breakfast and lunch. Shame on you.

Mrs “forcing” moi to “diet”, sorry.

Greasy streaky bacon and square sausages are greatly missed.

Following the controversy and angst caused by my square plate and auxiliary un-reduced beanage, I wish to formally apologise to those with geometric and integrated-beanmush sensitivities for any upset.

Good grief.

As a person also guilty of attempting to be cheffy now and then, I know the signs when I see them. Step away from the kitchen.

Before you know it you'll be offering a quenelle of distressed waffle and applying HP sauce like this:

When you say "cheffy" SJ, do you actually mean "Little Chef(fy)"?

'Little Cheffy' is basically what we should all be striving for. Maybe with some better ingredients, maybe without an exhausted widow on the till.

Cheffy is something that chefs can do, and essentially nobody else can. Looks great. Looks possible. Tempting to have a go. STOP.

Just. Stop.

An otherwise very valiant attempt can also be completely undone by the mise en scène.

For example, cheffy will not work within 10 feet of a washer-dryer.

yes You can get away with just Spinach with eggs and Avacado, but not mixed leaves. And the spinach has to be at the bottom with the food on top.

Also Cucumbers for breakfast?????????

With apologies for recent absence, attached today's breakfasts for self and family. A place called Ramshackle Rosie's in Par, Cornwall, incongruously located on a local industrial estate but top quality and much recommended if on jollys. Silly cheap as we were in some way helping someone out by eating out or summat.

First time eating out since March. Average, to be honest, but for the first time ever in my experience, the fried tomatoes were soft and lovely, rather than someone having shone a reasonably strong torch at them for a few seconds. Excessive beanage.

"I'll have the vegetarian breakfast with a few bacon scrapings please. Can you cook it three days ago and leave it under a warming lamp, cheers".
