Come to London for the week. There are 80 Weatherspoons across the 32 London boroughs. Or if down for the day, 12 in Central London you could visit easily.
It used to be this 12 but I don't think the The Knights Templar is a Wetherspoons any more.
https://www.mylondon.news/whats-on/whats-on-news/r...
1.The Lord Moon Of The Mall - Whitehall
2. The Moon Under Water - Leicester Square
3. Montagu Pyke - Soho
4. Shakespeare’s Head - Holborn
5. Penderal’s Oak - Holborn
6. The Knights Templar - Chancery Lane
7. The Sir John Oldcastle - Farringdon
8. Hamilton Hall - Liverpool Street Station
9. The Goldman’s Field - Whitechapel
10.The Liberty Bounds - Tower Hill
11.The Crosse Keys - Leadenhall Market
12.The Sir John Hawkshaw - Cannon Street
Lord Moon of the Mall is no more, it’s now a pub called the Horse and Guardsman

Went to my 52nd Wetherspoons yesterday The Winter Gardens in Harrogate and it is now the best one i have been to. My previous favourite was the Wallow in Blyth but the interior of the Winter Gardens is fantastic.

They say McCains but apparently you cannot buy them in supermarkets or shops so who knows.

The Jalfrezi with the rice and thick chips and free drink for £6.45 is superb value at Spoons.

The chips are catering only, but yes, McCain supplied. Can probably pick them up from Brakes / Bidfood if you have a trade account.

The Spoons spring beer festival starts tomorrow for 12 days with up to 30 real ales on offer, worth a visit if you enjoy quality inexpensive beers (and tasty chips) also work due to start this month on the Marlow branch which should be completed and opening sometime in July according to the local paper, been a long time coming beer

then what differentiates the catering ones? I remember watching some video way back about frozen chips. the supermarket and branded ones were exactly the same apart from the fact that the supermarket ones might have a higher % of smaller chips (from the edge of the spuds) in the packet where as the branded ones might have a higher amount of the full sized/longer stuff from the core. perhaps the catering ones are like this? with a higher amount of full length chips. (although having said that, there's always some small chips in a portion).

Designed to be deep fried (and deep fried only, no oven, air fryer etc). From memory, they have a slight coating to make them crispy but it's been years since I worked in foodservice

So do quite a lot of oven chips, these days. We have to watch for that, as my wife mustn’t eat gluten.

Just come back from a weekend in Harrogate and popped into the Winter Gardens for a couple of pints on Friday evening.
£3.75 for a pint of lager is a nice surprise when I am used to £6 and upwards in London.

I think that was advertised and ordered - I guess - as a small meal.

It's small, what's wrong with it?
