Thanks craigjm. I added onion this time (which I don't usually do for brunch). The only other non-obvious addition was a good dollop of fish sauce and a squirt of a chilli ketchup that I usually use for barbecue marinades. Let it simmer for a bit and then scoffed.

It's (very) far from a sophisticated breakfast dish but it's quick and easy and makes a nice change.

As it happens the teeth took a terminal hit, pulled half a molar out this morning. I’m going to have to face up to it that crunchy food doesn’t work for me any more.
