@bolidmichall / BM - solid offering as always - but why 2 plates ?

Had to goto the office yesterday - poached eggs were all rock hard - so had to get fried instead (which were hardly any different if truth be told) Forgot the beans - so was a bit dry.

Now that all depends on whether it's a good continental breakfast or a poor one. I've had some very poor ones in France. I remember one place where we simply got bread and jam, not even any butter. At another chateau breakfast was yesterday's warmed up croissants, bread, jam and yogurts, no cheese no cold meats, no fresh fruit. Rubbish. smile

Going back to 1990 I remember a breakfast that was a bowl warm milky coffee with a stale croissant.
Didn't know what to make of it and then noticed people dunking the croissant into the coffee.

Sat on the Guidecca canal in the autumn sun it was magnificent.

Got some egg rings with a BBQ set, so was time to make some fake sausage and egg mcmuffins with the Iceland patties.

Still nowhere near as good as the sausage in the real deal...and I forgot to steam the cheese on them before taking them off the pan!

I tried Google but couldn't find any reference to 'cake sausages', what are they?
