It really is, I’m so fortunate to have come across this butcher that slow cures it

Which butcher is it? Somewhere in South London? I'd like to go and grab some!

A poor offering compared to BM’s Roll/Bap/Cob/French Stick offering above - but set me up for the day:

Tried to make as Gaudi’esque face - but looks more like Jimmy Saville I think …… eek

If I can be bold, I think the stacked breakfast roll belongs to Mr Bolide. He’s setting a standard. So the above food porn I’d like to be naming the Bolide. That would allow a bit of friendly competition/comparison…

It looks like from the repeatedly mouthwatering bolide builds we have drooled over, a true bolide (the above isn’t as a true Bolide) needs good bread, butter at least two forms of pork, egg, tomato or mushroom and a condiment which for a true Bolide is onion chutney.

I had a kind of “poor man’s bolide” this morning,

Feel free to correct me Michael!!

Hmm, the Bolide -- I think that the archetype is within these pages but during the winter months of the covid period... can someone fish out the page perhaps? It was a small ciabatta, pork, pork, pork, veg, veg, veg, egg and sauce. I think that a slow sizzled tomato is key, personally, the onion relish is a substitute for some moisture -- but could also be complementary.

Went to get an oatcake the other day and my usual place was on holiday so had to try a new place.

£5 for a extra large sausage and cheese oatcake.

It was ok but not a patch on castle oatcakes.

For Central London, quite reasonable prices.

My apologies if I seem obsessed with the cost of everything.
