Mrs Esk fancied a Chinese,so we tried one we ain’t used for a few years ,

We will not be using it again for a lot more than a few years as it was absolutely st ,

It was a lot worse than the pics , Roast beef and roast chicken on bean sprouts ..
It was more like the chicken trimmings you get in Aldi boiled in water to the point of removing any flavour, stodgy chicken balls , the curry sauce was ok though , you know me I’ll put up with most things but this was awful, I’ve just tipped what was left in the trays down the bog and flushed it away

Hopefully it’ll give a dose of the sts as I think I now could do with a good clean out.
Sooner this exits the better

I echo the above. That meat thing looks perfect after 2 bottles of Rose - what is it?

Looks like mince but won't be - guessing some form of doner or schawarma, with a load of cheese on top and looks like green chilli. If in London where please and I will go (and post!)

I'm trying to re create this.

I'm 95 percent there... final dish needs extra cheese melt. The meat and chillis are present.

Hit up the Islington branch of Detroit Pizza at the weekend, specifically because they do a few appetizers which the Shoreditch one doesn't.

Deep Fried Lasagne and Buffalo Wings. The Lasagne was beautiful, the marinara sauce as you would imagine from a pizza place was divine. Did it need deep frying? Probably not but it meant you got some more crispy bits. The wings were also spot on, buffalo sauce was very well-balanced. Not too spicy, not too vinegary.

Followed up with their version of a Hawaiin, which along with huge chunks of ham and pineapple also had crispy bacon, sesame seeds, jalapenos and basil. The ham could actually have done with being a bit smaller as it was a proper mouthful but once again, the pizzas was top notch.

So a 5 guys ‘grilled cheese’ is just an inside out burger bun with fake American cheese in, that they’ve played football with. £6…

Burger and chips bangin as always

Yeah I think in the US you can customise them, so you end up with a grilled cheeseburger somehow. Over here it's just as you say, st load of money for something very underwhelming.
