The sad tale of when things do not get preserved. More sad when you see the way the "Owner" deliberately wrecked the engines and would not sell. Very strange indeed. I couldn't find the article I was looking at the other night but these give clues and links...And worse...pictures.

frown

I remember being taken on Lincoln Castle on a junior school trip to Hull when I was a nipper; she was still in service back then.

What a shame.

'Rubble' - a ship made from bricks?

So this Colin Johnson bloke turned down £100K for it, then PAID to have it smashed up? Must be mentally ill.

And it only a matter of time before the PS Ryde goes the same way, as I understand Lincoln Castle was in much better shape than PS Ryde.

Its not all bad, we have Waverley and Medway Queen is being rebuilt and Shieldhall is in good shape.
