importing a boat to Egypt

Anyone have any idea of the coast of importing a boat into Egypt ?
What the import taxes would be , etc.and shipping costs


looking at Jet boats ideally a Seadoo Challenger / 200 around 20' with a trailer and around 20k .

2.25% import duty plus whatever the VAT is in Egypt. Transport costs will be somewhere around £2k I should think if you put it in a container.

i deal with 5 freight companies in egypt, my advice is walk away and buy one locally,
i speak to them on a daily basis and find all of them untrustworthy,

That can be a big issue in some countries, especially for personal imports. I used to deal with government departments over in Egypt and they were able to ride roughshod over the import regulations. I'm sure a customs officer would do the same to you to make a bit of extra money. It's almost certainly not worth doing.
