Anyone got any idea what it's doing there? Appears to be some sort of cruise ship, odd to see it there though

Will be a cruise ship. They visit several times a year and moor up there.

yes Possibly the Hapag Lloyd Columbus. wink

It is fairly common. The even bigger cruise ships have to moor up just downriver of the bridge and come ashore on smaller boats. They look like they are sat on the riverbed, TBH.

Cool, good stuff

First time I've ever seen one moored alongside it, was an odd site this morning walking across London Bridge

Yes it looks like it was the Columbus http://www.pla.co.uk/Ships/index.cfm/site/navigati... It's big but not compared to the Deutschland. I remember when I first saw that go past - it was late at night and MOH and I became aware of a low rumble getting louder and louder. We went outside onto the terrace to be greeted by the site of this huge ship, all lit up, with the passengers waving to us. It was quite surreal. smile
