What is the rough cost of owning something like a 4 seater Piper?

If you flew somewhere and landed how much does that cost (the landing)on average.

Not being lazy, I know I can answer my questions with a search but just wanted to hear from someone with real experience.

Cheers

I don't own one but was part of a share in a C150 and it broke down (literally) as follows per year:

- Insurance £1200 (liability and hull insurance)
- Airfield parking £1500
- Maintenance & repairs £how long is piece of string (our aircraft was heading towards 150hours per year so three 50 hour checks / minor repairs at around £2500 per time).

Basically you won't get much change from £10k before it leaves the ground then you add fuel (approx £35 per hour in an old 150) and oil per hour (ours was using a litre per hour! £4.50p/h)

Edit to add - landing fees vary from free with a voucher to very expensive (I know a member of our club that flew in to Gatwick for an hour stop and it cost him £850 including handling fees). In fairness though the average is around £10 to £20
