47615 - What happened to it?
Discussion
Does anybody know what happened to this class 47 loco? ( 47615 )
Reading the thread on corporate BR Blue jogged my memory. It's name plates were unveiled by my grandfather in 1985 at Caerphilly in South Wales.
It was of course named ' Castell Caerfilli / Caerphilly Castle '
I have looked around on the interweb and have 3 different answers so far but nothing specific.

- Completely scrapped
- Completely scrapped and name plates transfered to another loco
- In storage at Canton depot in Cardiff.
Seems like it lost the nameplates before overhaul/modification to 47/7 in 1992;
