damaged hull, advice needed BOAT
Discussion
I hit a rock today and took a chunk out of the hull, its not through the fibreglass but the gel coat has been smashed off.
its a friends boat and I have to get it repaired for him.
Whats involved, can they localise the repair, fill out the recess with fibregalss and then add some gel or is it major works and costs? what can i expect to pay for a repair? the chunk is about 6 inches by 8 inches and is roughly 4-5mm deep(the boat is out of the water and on a trailer)
hope some one can help me out. cheers in advance

firstly have alook inside for any stress on stringers or glass cracking,if thats fine then its a case of building up area with gelcoat/silica mix then a couple of flow coats over the top,im in the trade in southampton and by sounds of it its a £200 job in the trade done decent.is it a antifouled boat and if so is the damage in a antifouled area??.if so makes it cheaper as not so much of a match needed.
hope this helps.

im not too sure what you mean when you say anyifouled.
its a seadoo sportster, the hulls is brilliant white and was in mint condition with no scuffs at all so a colour match in the white is needed badly.
the problem i have is there is one large chunk at the front of the hull, then along the ribs/plane lines of the hull there are scores, not the complete length but on and off for about 1m each side, so these need to be done also.
if i can get pictures i will post them up to see what people think it should roughly cost me
