In Eric's absence can I just point out that the green and brown camouflage scheme seen on the Mini

was used very early in the war.

It was replaced with the green and ocean grey scheme when the RAF started venturing over the Channel more.

So it is highly unlikely that any green-and-brown camouflaged aircraft in fact carried D-day stripes.

Eric will provide the exact dates and technical specifications soon.

Correct, the grey and green schemes started being implemented on day fighters and fighter bombers from the end of 1941. However, Dark Earh and Green was retained on larger aircraft such as transports and bombers so aircraft such as the Dakota, Stirling and Halifax carried Dark Earth and Green upper camouflage in combination with D-Day stripes.

Also, from 1941 code letters were by and large changed from Medium Grey to Red.
