Right, it's be a while since i last sailed competitively, but i'm now realising that my old man was talking sense when he said it was a good 'cheap' sport. (that would be before we kept breaking everything...

I'm now keen to get back into it in one way or another. In my time i've sailed everything from Toppers, to Lasers, to Squibs and Solings.

My brother and i raced Laser 3000s and RS800s finishing off winning the Laser 3000 series. I'm now older, heavier, no wiser, and slightly rustier.

If anyone is looking for additional crew around London or the South Coast, please feel free to drop me a line. Would be good fun to get back involved again. Not looking for a regular spot (unless there's someone else out there like me!), but happy to help out if someone's short.

Take a look on www.ybw.com (forum) as there was someone on there looking for (free!) crew for a 3 day trip to Dublin - might be worth your posting need on there as well as heavily used boat forum.

Do you want to race dinghies or big boats?

Do have acer experience?

I race on this & we are often looking for good crew who like going fast (we have had her steadily on the plane at 16.5 kts, with a few bursts up to 19kts in a reasonable blow with the big kite up)...

I've sailed big boats and dighys and raced both. I'm looking for either really. No specific experience of on an Acer, but sure i could pick it up!
