Cancelled by P1 due to to lack of entries and picked up by Mike Lloyd (who done the round Britain 2008)and BPRC within hours.

The race is to run as a proper Cowes Torquay event like the good old days without any fluffy bits. Wet pits will still be in Cowes but boats there only, no sideshows.

All going well and there are about 35 entrants already with some top boats as well Cinzano558, Buzzi with FPT etc.

Race is open to allcomers now with some of the onerous rules dropped such as aux engines for single engined boats so expect to see a racing spectacle.

3 Races: Cowes Torquay Cowes for those that can carry the fuel. Same with a stopover for fuel and a further race Cowes Poole Cowes for the boats that wouldn't make that distance.

Expect to see a good few v24's and class 3 along with the hondas racing with the big stuff.

All in all a return to the proper days of offshore powerboat racing none of that round the cans stuff.

Race is destined for Saturday with Sunday as a lay day i.e. used if race cancelled Saturday.

Now can I rebuild the mercruiser in time and piss the wife off with an entryevil

If you want to stay ahead of the game see Boatmad.com forums as thats where the communication is going on due to time constraints.
