Went out in the solent the weekend.Lots of maydays for some reason.Maybe just a busy weekend or I dont normally take much notice.
Done 1st fishing trip.Never been before.Brought 2 rods and a couple of feathers and started dipping at 2pm.Kids scored within 10 seconds.By 3.30pm we were on the way back with 22 mackerel and 11 of something I dont know what filling a large bucket to overflowing.Kids enjoyed it, wife enjoyed it,I spent all the time removing the slippery suckers from the hooks. I think they were fighting for the priviledge down there. Is it always like that off Hengistbury Head.

Yea lots of maydays and panpans,

Recall on boom head injury on a sunsail boat, and another rudder breaking off with the boat taking on water.

Good sailing both sat and sunday.

I think I saw speedyellow on BiG Spirt!

Also Leopard was in OVM fresh from breaking the Atlantic monohull record.

It seemed Sunday afternoon was full on .Channel 16 was on silence for a fair bit,someone lost a limb,a polish chap had an engine failure, A few unconcious divers etc it went on and on.

Seeing as it is raining this weekend, Im going to the boat...well if I say hope its sunny, every time I say I hope its going to be nice it pours or is windy!So please make it rain lots n lots.
