Sounds quite bad.

BBC are lagging behind with their coverage, according to Sky News one house has been 100% destroyed another is 20% on fire.

As above, hope for the best, but the report does not sound good for anyone on the aeroplane.

In fact, looks like its only one house on fire, and the the pilot looks to have missed any houses

Someone on Sky News talking about the concern of a runway so close to a housing estate. Well the runway was there before the houses so I'd say that was a planning problem for the housing estates than the runway.

Cessna Citation they say, small business jet.

It's 500m from where I live, there's choppers and all manner of stuff about. The reported road is a cul-de-sac with restricted access.

I agree, although sadly it usually turns into the airfield having to fight for it's survival against NIMBY pressure groups. Despite the fact the NIMBY's knew the 'field was their when they bought the house frown

Happens at my local 'field a lot.

Similarly they keep building new houses on flood plains and then act surprised when they get flooded.

Sad - but for a monmet I assumed it was Farnborough Hampshire. So, in a way, I am rather relieved.

I was about to say - of all the places - it would have be your back garden (figuratively speaking).

Believe me, I would not be at all surprised if some day we will have to deal with a similar incident here in the Hampshire, Farnborough too.

In the days of test flying here there were plenty of accidents and incidents in and around the airfield. Maybe I should conduct a tour of Farnborough entitled "Where Planes Crashed".

I'm watching the coverage on Sky TV - but I don't see any sign of any plane confused

I'm assuming it no longer exists, although the fire brigade do appear to be in the woods behind the house that lost it's garage.

Five people on board "unaccounted for" at the moment. Doesn't sound too good for them, I'm afraid.

eye witness report. obviously just word of mouth so far but she belive residents of the house were on holiday

Katherine Simnet, a resident of a nearby house, told the BBC: "We looked out of the bedroom window and we saw it (the plane) flying really low, as though it was in trouble.

"It swerved our house. It looked like it was trying to land in the nearby woods, the nearby fields... but it crashed into two of the houses on the block and we saw two big balls of black smoke and could smell the air fuel."

She believed the residents of one of the houses were on holiday, while those in the other escaped serious harm.

Eight fire engines and several ambulances and emergency response vehicles were on the scene
