All, I realise this is a bit of a 'tweener' topic, but logic would dictate it goes here...

We have a hot-tub with inbuilt sound syaytem (bear with me here), and the CD player had died (radio still works though). I've taken it out and it's a marine unit - any good tips on repair (or if not, good tips on well-priced replacements)?

Cheers all

Hi. Have a look at replacements as repair will be as expensive.

Sony have just bought out some marine units that look good, otherwise try Fusion (do a search on google)

If you go to one of these links, you'll find plenty

My advice would be fit a standard unit and a sony waterproof controller / Alpine do one. wet hands = short stereo life even if it's a marine unit which normally means move the decimal pont on the pricing and spray a conformal coating on the pcb.

fitted hundreds.

Thanks - ended up fitting a cheapie, and made sure the front was properly waterproof!
