Hi chaps, first visit to this part of PH.
I'm looking for a source for spare parts for a Volvo Penta AQ140 or Volvo B21 engine. Can anyone navigate me in the right direction. I'm based in Scotland.

The back of the Scottish Autotrader? Or the Kinross car auctions, buy a car there for alot less than just an engine! I remember a "decent" Escort not selling for £2 there, it had an MOT and tax on it too! Shocking!

Now that is an idea. Up here as soon as any business dealing with Volvo parts twigs you are after it for marine purposes, the price shoots up. I've been looking in the local papers for old Volvo 240s with the 2.1 engine, but none about so far. Lots of FI 2.3s though.

Scotland or not these guys are great for all things volvo. They're not actually a volvo dealer but buy more gear than any of them direct from factory. Huge secondhand stocklist and next day delivery.

Extremely helpful guys too so get on the phone.

Oh and be careful swapping auto out for marine parts. It's potentially lethal especially with petrols. Lots of parts may look the same but I can assure you they're not.

IMVHO Keypart are usually a bit pricey.
American Marine Imports are better - good prices, import the stuff themselves and have a massive stock.

Ask for Hank and say Matt Yorke put you in touch.
You won't get a discount - but I might.
