Not going to be easy (or cheap) to keep an old airliner of this size in a good state for a long period of time, although, its likely that of the 3 retro scheme 747's in the fleet at the end of BA service, this is possibly the most likely of the two left to last the longest.
I'm not sure how much looking after that the Landor scheme 747 at Dunsfold gets, and with constant question marks of what is or isn't going to happen to Dunsfold, its long term future will have a ? hanging over it.
The BOAC scheme 747 that made the final BA 747 landing at St.Athan after its retirement has already been scrapped...

t's almost certain to be the last 747 I'll ever fly on. Back to LHR from JFK in 2019 - you can see my seat in one of your pics - 62K on the upper deck!

Yes it was nice and quiet up there. Window seats got masses of locker storage, in addition to the overhead ones. Still crummy business class compared to the new herringbone layout used in A350 etc.
