I heard this today, thought it was a very loud or low inbound to STN or something unusual, went into the back garden and caught sight of it coming over Kesgrave. I couldn’t get the bino’s out quick enough, but recognised the shape. She is noticeably louder than the passenger/ cargo stuff that comes over, hence why I got a bit excited.

Where is it based?. Last time I saw one up close was in Oman back in the 70 s.

The jet provost used to be out of East Midlands airport. Not sure if it still is, I know it's been there a few times this year. The rr spitfire has been out doing practice near wymondham a few times recently.

I see this a fair bit when I visit my parents who live just down the road in Martlesham.

I thought it was based at North Weald ?

There used to be a JP based out of Carlisle airport and (I think) you could book a flight alongside the pilot.

I used to see it buzzing about over our house but not seen it for a long time now so it must have moved to somewhere else.

He just flew over my house, the noisy bugger.

ETA Actually it was BWSG, so the East Mids-stored one, on his way from Southend.
