It s such a distinctive colour scheme (the Hunter).

Watching the Hunter was a bit squeaky bum! I actually enjoyed the Atlas the most there- lots of sky filled, big presence, time to take it in, etc.

Having seen the Black Arrows perform at Farnborough in the 1950s the Hunter has remained my favourite jet fighter ever since, it's such an elegant design. Great to see one being flown as it should be, with gusto!

Agreed re the Hunter, though oddly perhaps it has always been the two-seat variant that I prefer.

Yes I worked there for a few years, I moved on now but still on Hunters

Mk5* versions were to differentiate types for export customers, so would have been based on say a mk.4 that the RAF flew but with minor differences in avionics etc. so there wouldn t have been 58+ different marks- although probably not far off tbh!

Where I work now we have Mk74 and 75. Extra inboard sidewinder and centre line pylons, napalm, rad alt, target towing, camera in the nose, gun sights, big inverters for more power, it amazing what they did to the Hunter, and how much stuff they could get into it
